Aus dem kleinen Lil Bow Wow ist mittlerweile ein gestandener Rapper geworden, dessen Buzz auch immer größer wird. Bow Wow veröffentlichte vor einigen Tagen sein neues Mixtape "Greenlight 2" und nach eigener Aussage erreichte es von innerhalb nur 48 Stunden über 2 Millionen Downloads.

Das klingt natürlich sehr rekordverdächtig, ist aber auch recht schwer belegbar. Bow Wow hat für die Ungläubigen auch gleich die passenden Worte parat: "All the critics who point their finger at me, like, 'They fixed the numbers,' or, 'Aw, man, he's still Lil Bow Wow to me.' I use all that negative energy and I use it in my head like, 'I gotta make these muthafuckas eat all this shit back,' 'I gotta throw this back in their face.' What other way but to throw out hot-ass records? That's the only way you gonna do that."
